Yoga

In Montfort Community School, Yoga is an important part of our co-curricular program. It plays a key role in supporting students’ physical health, mental well-being and emotional balance.

Students are guided through simple breathing exercises, yoga postures, and relaxation techniques that help them manage stress, stay calm, and develop self-discipline. These practices also improve concentration, flexibility, and overall fitness.

To promote a healthy lifestyle and balanced growth, students participate in 15-minute yoga sessions every Monday and Tuesday after the morning assembly. In addition to this, everyday students practise 5-minutes of simple yogasanas focused on breathing and concentration before the commencement of the classes in the morning. These regular sessions and practices help them begin the day with a calm mind and a strong body.
