Student Strength

From Humble Beginnings to a Thriving Community

With meagre facilities, a few well-wishers, and a powerful vision to transform lives, Bro. George K.J. founded the Montfort Community School in 2001 with just 7 students. His mission was clear: to bring education to the children of Kombuthooki and its surrounding villages and hamlets - many of whom had never stepped into a classroom.

Our school offers education in Tamil medium for boys and girls from LKG to Std. XII. From that small but significant beginning, the school grew rapidly, with 100 students in 2002. Later, in 2003, the strength reached 235. Today, in the academic year 2025 - 26, the school proudly serves 895 students, the majority of whom are first-generation learners. The school is dedicated to providing an inclusive learning environment for all. It is also a home to a number of special children.

This remarkable growth reflects the transformative power of education and our unwavering belief that even the smallest beginnings can lead to lasting change.
